EPISODE 42
AISHA’S POV
Ever since I discovered the guy my car knocked down few days ago was Kenneth, Alex brother, I became extra close to him.
I treated him with much care, made sure he eats healthy, and took his drugs religiously.
Kenneth on the other hand was a nice person, he was also brilliant too, but sadly he dropped out of school since he lost his parents.
I already made up my mind to be of great help to him, once he recovers, but I must first reunite him with his brother Alex.
He was admitted to the hospital on, Monday afternoon, and doctor Samuel told me he would be discharged by Friday.
Though Kenneth had spent three days in the hospital already and he was now strong and fit to go home, even the wound on his head, was a bit dried up.
Within the three days i have known Kenneth, we had became good friends.
Each time we discussed, he always finds a way to involve his children in our discussion, because he misses them so much according to him.
I noticed he avoided talking about his wife with me, when I tried to ask about his wife, he changes the topic immediately.
Then I knew for sure that he isn’t happy with his wife oluchi, who was foolishly entangled with Alex, who was my fiance.
I wanted to start telling him everything i knew about Alex and his plans towards him.
But i decided to hold my peace, and do that when he was discharged.
My father didn’t suspect a thing, because I was extra careful so he won’t found out about Kenneth.
Alex was also trying to reach out to me too, but I totally ignored him, I didn’t want him to ruin my mood at all.
While at the hospital with Kenneth, i still found my way to monitor Alex and oluchi, if they had any calls or chat.
But i noticed, alex wasn’t giving much attention to oluchi as before, there weren’t chatting at night any longer.
But i observed, oluchi was the one calling Alex with calls and even sending Alex tons of WhatsApp messages.
She was telling alex that her husband travelled, and she has been lonely ever since then.
Such a foolish and heartless girl, she couldn’t even feel any remorse about the absence of her husband…….I thought.
I was a little bit glad Alex was no longer giving her attention, probably he had come back to his senses.
This would be the right time to make peace between him and his brother, i would make sure of that……I thought within myself, smiling.
When it was finally Friday, doctor Samuel came to meet us that morning, and told us, Kenneth was now fit to go home, then he left.
Talk of the hospital bills, i didn’t pay a dime, because doctor Samuel told me to forget about it, being that he was our family doctor for years, and he was also my father’s best friend too.
The only money i spent, was for the drug’s Kenneth took, and some of the snacks and drinks he took, I always made sure he eats home made food.
Our Cook comes to the hospital, twice a day to deliver sumptuous meals i told her to prepare, and I always give her some tips, for her extra stress.
I watched Kenneth whose face beamed with smile’s when he heard he was now fit to go home, he couldn’t wait to go home, and see his kids.
You seem very much happy to leave here……I said, with a smile on my face.
Why won’t I, it’s not easy for me being trapped here, all in the name of getting well soon, i missed my children you know………he said happily, joining me to arrange our things.
You only missed your children, don’t you miss your wife also?
She must be worriedly sick about you……..I said, looking at him closely for any reactions.
I miss her very much, i missed the real woman i married, not the one in my house now………he replied sadly.
It’s okay buddy, cheer up, do you mind if I take you shopping from here?…….I asked.
Of course, sure I would, who doesn’t like good things?…….he said smiling.
I giggled at his honest response, I love honest people.
We were done arranging our stuff’s, then we left the hospital, and went straight to a luxurious boutique i know, which was close to my father’s company.
After shopping, we went to the eatery besides it, the eatery Alex and I usually went to have lunch sometime ago.
When we were done eating, I then let the cat out of the bag, to Kenneth.
