AISHA’S POV
Alex has been getting on my nerves lately, making me wondering what has came over him.
The Alex I knew some time ago when we started dating, isn’t the Alex I’m seeing now.
His quest for revenge has turned him into something else, and I’m not happy about it.
I wondered the type of offence his brother did to him, that is him hell bent on wanting a revenge.
I had to lie to Alex that I was engaged, thinking he would forget about the whole revenge thing, but I was disappointed.
I came to pay alex a surprise visit that morning, hoping to sort things out with alex and push through with our wedding plans.
Alex wasn’t even excited to to see me, unlike before.
When I tried to bring the topic of marriage to him, he instantly waved it aside, telling me he isn’t ready yet, that he isn’t done with his brother.
I felt heartbroken that he still wants revenge, even after all my warnings to him.
I left Alex’s office that morning feeling heartbroken and sad.
I thought of going to my father’s office to spend a little while, but I changed my mind, because I didn’t want my father to notice my moodiness and then discover alex is the reason behind it.
So I decided to just go home, to rest for a while, on my way out of the company, i bumped into someone.
I got out of the elevator, and I saw the lady who i met at alex house the last time I went there.
Seems like she was working as a secretary, because of card on her neck, which every other secretary in the company wear on their necks too.
Seeing her, brought back that scenario, of the way I met her at Alex house the other day, making it look like they got intimate, which alex later confessed to me that they did, but she took advantage of him because he was drunk.
Although Alex explained to me some time ago, that she he was his ex named ekaette, who was trying so hard to come back to his life, after leaving him years ago for his brother Kenneth.
Well, I tried to just ignore her, and walked pass her, but she suddenly held my arm, preventing me from moving further, and she stared at me sternly.
Excuse me?……..I said, with one of my eyebrows raised, demanding for an explanation.
I purposely stood here because I know you are gonna use the elevator as your exit……… she replied scornfully still holding my arm firmly.
So what do you want from me, can you just take your filthy fingers off my arms please………I said angrily.
You know, I was so excited that your relationship with alex didn’t work out eventually, so why are you back now?………. she asked, sounding hurt.
Well let’s just say we were destined to be together……I replied, giggling alongside.
Suddenly she let out a scornful laughter, clapping her both hands together in mockery, like i said something funny.
I want to let you know that Alex doesn’t belongs to you, he belongs to me, i knew him before he even knew you, he loves me very much, and I love him too, and to your disappointment, i was the first woman he slept with……… she blurted out, raising her voice at me.
I see, if you were so in love with alex as you claimed, why did you left him for his younger brother when he needed you the most?……I asked in mockery, smiling mischieviously.
Immediately i asked that question, her eyes widened in surprise.
How did you know about that?……. she asked awkwardly.
You sly b*itch, aren’t you ashamed, two brothers had seen your nakédness, you should bury your head in shame you know.
How do you expect Alex to marry a chéap slút like you?
You are not even in the picture young lady, just move on…….I replied letting out a hearty laughter.
She tried raising her hands to slap me, but I was faster than her, i immediately caught her hand, then I gràbbéd her néck and pinned her to the wall.
I was very much taller than her, and even older, so she was no match for me at all.
I watched her gasped for air, while I still held on to her néck, she was struggling to free herself from my grip, but she couldn’t.
If you ever try to confront me about Alex again, I will get you fired from this company, and make sure you spend the rest of your miserable life in jail……..I blurted out angrily still holding her neck.
Leave me alone you monster, you are a wolf in sheep’s clothing, so you aren’t the angel everyone thinks you are?…….. ekaette asked, struggling to talk.
Oh yes, am a wolf to my enemies, and a calm sheep to those who genuinely love me, you cannot outsmart me my dear………I replied sternly.
Please let me go, I won’t come close to you again i promise……… she pleaded, still gasping for air.
I grinned like a Cheshire cat, then i let her go laughing at her like she was a clown.
She coughed uncontrollably, holding her chést like she was in pains.
I let out a scoff and left her there alone coughing uncontrollably, i hate it when someone tries to bully me.
While I was growing up, my parents thought I and my brother, never to accept bully from anyone, and I grew up with that mentality.
I got out of the company and went to my vehicle, and instructed the driver to take me home.
