EPISODE 22
That evening i got home smiling sheepishly, knowing that I would finally get Kenneth to pay for all the wrongs he did to me in the past.
Look at how shabby looking Kenneth was, i was older than him with nine good years, but he looks way older than me.
I don’t think I can ever forgive Kenneth for the pains he and his mother brought upon my mother and I.
I was glad life wasn’t fare to him anyway, but that won’t stop me from making his life more miserable.
He will have a taste of everything he made me went through in the past.
After I had taken my bath and had dinner, I took my phone to call aisha as usual.
After our formal exchange of greetings, i informed her about seeing Kenneth that day, because I have discussed about Kenneth and everything he did to me, with her before.
Guess who i saw today?…..I asked Aisha, smiling broadly.
Oh Alex, you know am not good at guessing, don’t stress my brain please…… she responded tiredly.
I want you to guess baby……I insisted.
Okay let me guess, you met batman and superman your favourite X-Men?……… she asked giggling.
I let out a loud laughter over the phone, aisha has a way of making me laugh out loud, even if it’s a serious issue.
Okay my lady, but unfortunately you are wrong……I replied amidst laughter.
Okay, my bad, put please stop pulling my legs and spill out who you saw today already, am curious……… she said impatiently.
You too like amebo sef, anyways I saw Kenneth today, my step brother…….I responded casually without any emotions.
Oh really?
That’s great news, did you both sit to have a drink, to sort out your differences?…….. Aisha innocently asked, which pissed me off, then i flared up.
What great news are you talking about Aisha, you expect me to sit and have a drink with that scumbag?………I asked angrily.
Calm down Alex, seems like you are still angry with him, but it’s best you let go already and move on, it’s been years now right?
Kenneth is still your brother whether you like it or not, probably fate wants you both to reconcile, that’s why it made you come across Kenneth again, please put the past behind you……….. Aisha said calmly.
You are saying trash Aisha, so upon everything he did to me in the past, you are still telling me to reconcile with Kenneth?
Well I don’t blame you, if you had been present there when I and my mother went through hell in the hands of Kenneth and his mother, you won’t tell me to forgive Kenneth.
Him and his mother was the reason my dad turned away from my mother, and they were also the reason my mom died……..I said angrily, breathing fire and brimstone.
Alex, forget about everything that they did to you, you are in a better position now which am sure your mother would be proud of you wherever she is, do you think your mother would want you to fight her battles?……… Aisha asked.
Aisha please, just stop all this talk of forgiveness, am not having it……I fired back.
What has come over you Alex, you are sounding a bit strange to me, since we have been talking, you’ve been throwing insult’s at me which you haven’t done before.
It’s Kenneth the reason for your changed attitude, or something else entirely?…….. Aisha asked suspiciously.
I didn’t intentionally insulted you aisha, am sorry if I talked rudely to you, anyways it’s a good thing I saw Kenneth today, he is even married with three children and….
So what are your plans for his wife and children, since you are still angry with Kenneth?
It won’t be bad if you give them a better life you know……. Aisha quickly said, interrupting what I wanted to say earlier.
My plans are to have my revenge on Kenneth through his wife……I replied nonchalantly.
You are joking right?….. Aisha asked, gasping in shock.
Did I sound like am joking?…..I replied.
Alex, I beg you in the name of God, please don’t push through with whatever plans you have against Kenneth…….. Aisha pleaded.
Unfortunately my mind is made up, revenge i must get…….I replied.
Suddenly Aisha went mute, for some minutes, i kept calling her name but she wasn’t responding, after minutes of silence from her, she then respond.
Alex, am telling you this right here and now, if you ever push through with your foolish plan’s, count me out as your friend, and am not in support of this……. she said angrily.
Is that a threat or what?
Go ahead and avoid me if you want, you cannot stop me from doing my wish………I said angrily, yelling at the top of my voice.
The line suddenly went dead, Aisha had ended the conversation between us.
I tried calling her back, but she wasn’t picking up, then i angrily tossed my phone aside.
Since I have known Aisha, this is the first time we were having a fight and it made me unhappy.
I wasn’t happy that Aisha was angry with me, but anyways, it’s best we be apart for now, so I could push through with my plans àgainst Kenneth.
I couldn’t even sleep that night, the fact that Aisha wasn’t happy with me, took sleep away from me.
Some part of me wanted to just ignore aisha and push through with my plans, and the other part of me wanted to be at peace with Aisha.
I stayed awake that night staring at the wall clock in my room, when it was 5am i immediately started getting prepared for work.
I got ready by exactly 5:30am and I left my house moving straight to Kenneth’s house, because am pretty sure his wife would pass by that early morning since she was a techer.
