EPISODE 21
After that incidence with ekaette, she never bothered me again, the both of us acted like strangers in the company.
Whenever she sets her eyes on me, she quickly turned away from me, like she was scared of something.
Soon enough i started getting compliments, gifts, love messages, calls, even date offer’s from my female colleagues.
I simply turned them down because they weren’t my kind of women, and I wanted to maintain my dignity in the company.
It’s been over three months since my relationship with Aisha crashed, but I was finding it difficult to move on.
Aisha on the other hand found it difficult to move on too, the bond between us was that strong.
Anytime we were on call, we found ourselves still discussing about our private lives and saying romantic things to each other like we were still dating.
But anyways, what will be, will be, it’s very difficult to get rid of true love, you can never hide true love.
After the close of work that day, i drove out of the company tiredly and famished.
I didn’t eat much for that day, so while driving home I decided to stop by a woman who was selling roasted corn by the road side, so I can buy some to munch on before I get home.
I parked in front of her requesting for some corn’s, which she quickly attended to me wrapping the number of corn’s i requested for.
Suddenly to my utmost shock and surprise, I saw Kenneth and a beautiful young woman close to him and three children.
They passed by my car, and walked towards the woman selling the roasted corn, and I immediately wind up so Kenneth won’t see me, but I waited, observing them from inside my car.
Kenneth in his wretched self stayed a bit far from the woman selling corn, while the lady who came with him was speaking to the woman selling corn like she was pleading for something.
I looked closely at the young lady, and then i saw some striking resemblance with her and the woman selling roasted corn, like they were related.
Then the woman roasting corn, brought out some money from her purse, and she then wrapped some corn’s and gave them to the lady.
I watched how the lady collected the corn and money from the woman and thanked the woman selling corn greatly.
And then she left with Kenneth and the children.
After they were some mile’s away from me, i wind down trying to inquire from the woman roasting corn, who the young lady was to her.
Oga your corn don ready since, but you no gree open window make i give you…….. she said giving me the corns she packaged earlier.
Am sorry about that ma, i was on call……I lied.
No wahala, thank you……. she responded collecting her money from me.
She was about giving me change, but I told her not to worry about it.
She let out a lovely smile and thanked me greatly, i then asked her about the lady who just came to her just now, and her response surprised me.
She said the lady was her daughter, and she got married to Kenneth and those children that followed them there, were their children.
I thanked the lady for the information, then i left her, trailing carefully after Kenneth and his family, to know where they stay.
They finally got to where they lived, and unfortunately for them, it was a thatched looking house.
The house looked like a place where animals are being kept, making me wondered how they survived there.
I saw a young boy coming out from the house Kenneth and his wife just entered.
He was walking towards my car, so I called him aside, giving him some good amount of money to tell me about Kenneth.
And he gave me every information I needed to know, and not a single detail was left out.
He told me Kenneth was jobless, and most times clears people’s houses for survival.
He also told me his wife works as a primary school teacher in a small school around the area, and the children aren’t in school, they feed from hand to mouth.
After getting everything i needed to know about Kenneth, i drove off from the environment getting prepared to unleash my plans.
Kenneth’s wife was my target, i will use through her to get to Kenneth, making him feel what I felt when he took ekaette from me in the past.
I promise to be your karma Kenneth, you have bit of the pain you made me went through in the past, you will soon be sorry……..I said sadly with much pains in my heart.
To be continued……….
