EPISODE 11
I was beginning to get used to my new lifestyle, and soon enough, i started acting rich.
I had women of different class and poises flocking around me, and wanting me to have a thing with them, but I wasn’t yet ready to have a relationship.
I think I haven’t yet recovered from the heartbreak I had from ekaette.
Each morning I got to work, the first person I always saw was ekaette, and it always angered me.
Most times she greets me, but I purposely ignored her without even looking at her, not wanting to have a conversation with her.
If not that I have a good heart, i would have found a way to relieve her of her job at the company.
But i just couldn’t do it, but I am sure going to teach her some lessons.
One morning, i was busy with my normal routine at the office, sipping my coffee along side.
Then I heard a faint knock on the door to my office, i immediately told the person to come in.
To my utmost surprise and dissatisfaction, it was ekaette who walked in to my office hold some files in her hands.
Immediately i saw her, i quickly averted my gaze from her, letting out a little groan in anger.
Good morning ale…Sorry, i mean good morning sir……. she said stuttering.
I didn’t even responded to her greetings, i simply signalled her to drop the files on my desk without looking at her.
I waited for a minute, and she didn’t dropped the files and I didn’t heared I left.
So I looked up from what I was doing, and I saw ekaette still standing in front of me, holding the files in her hands and smiling sheepishly which irritated me.
You aren’t blind isn’t it, i thought I signalled you to drop the files?………I asked rudely.
Am sorry Alex, if you don’t mind, please can I have a word with you?……. she replied, with her eyes blinking with remorse.
I beg your pardon???…….I asked impatiently.
Look Alex, I know i have really hurt you in the past, please find a place in your heart and forgive me…….. she said almost kneeling down.
I stared at with distain and then i let out a little chuckle.
Young lady please if you don’t mind, i would appreciate it if you leave my office this minutes, you are beginning to disrespect me……….I replied angrily.
Alex please, don’t deny me, remember the love we once shared, i still really love you…….. ekaette said almost kneeling down.
Young lady if you don’t leave my office this minutes, I’m going to pick up my phone, and call our boss that you are séxually hàràssing me, and you know what that means……..I responded without even looking at her face.
Immediately she heard my last statement, she quickly dropped the files in her hands on my desk, and hurriedly left my office.
After ekaette left my office, i let out a loud scornful laughter, she thinks i was the old alex she could easily cajole.
Unfortunately it’s too late for her, the feelings i had for her, was buried along with my past without a single trace.
Just then alhaji Usman Ibrahim who was my boss called me to come to his office at the top floor, to come and see his daughter who just arrived from the United States.
I instantly nodded in agreement and quickly rearranged myself so I would meet with his daughter.
I had a feeling she would be very beautiful, so I had to look presentable before her.
Actually my boss had only one daughter and one son.
His son frequently visited his father at the company, but his daughter was living with her mother at the United States ever since she was little.
I used the elevator to get to my boss office, so I won’t sweat from using the stairs.
When I got to his office, i saw the most beautiful human i have ever seen.
Her fair skin glowed like diamond, and she had a long natural hair.
I greeted my boss and he simply waved at me, then I walked up to his daughter for a handshake which she accepted, but was shy to look at me.
So Alex, please meet my daughter named Aisha, and Aisha, this young man here is my company’s managing director……… my boss said happily.
And then Aisha waved at me, and I bowed slightly before her, which made the three of us laughed.
She is beautiful sir, I said happily, which made Aisha blushed.
After a little conversation between the three of us, my boss requested i take Aisha out on a tour round the company, according to her request before she came to Nigeria.
I gladly accepted the offer with my whole heart, and my face beaming with pride.
I gently held Aisha on her hands, on we both left her father’s office, to tour round the company.
I kept introducing every staff in the company to her, lucky for me i didn’t see ekaette.
So I and Aisha went to several sections in the company, and I explained each section to her and their services to the company.
Along the line, i met ekaette when I and Aisha got to the media section of the company.
but I simply ignored her and held Aisha closely to myself, and i could see the pain and anger all over ekaette’s face, but I didn’t care.
Ekaette left the media section angrily, seeing that I didn’t payed attention to her.
When we were done touring round the company, Aisha complained of being hungry.
Then I drove her to an eatery close by, that had both foreign and local foods.
When we got there, Aisha requested for mushroom risotto, but it wasn’t available, so she then went for macaroni salad and some yoghurt.
I on the other hand went for pounded yam and egusi soup with big big meat, and a bottle of wine to step it down.
We ate to our satisfaction, and left the eatery, back to the company.
When we got to the company, it was already few minutes past four pm, then i followed Aisha to her father’s office.
Then I left to my office to get ready to go home because it was my closing time for the day.
Immediately i left the office, i noticed a car following behind me and I looked closely, and discovered, i was being followed by ekaette.
